Sobell House Hospice have identified a need to expand their current services at their hospice on the Churchill site in Oxford. The proposed facility will accommodate an increase in the need for palliative care of fragile pensioners and patients with more complex needs such as Dementia living in Oxfordshire.
On the ground floor, the building is split between six new bedrooms and ensuites for the palliative care of patients suffering from dementia and a new Lymphedema clinic. The first floor is split between accommodating a new staff changing and welfare facilities and the hospice’s existing Charitable Offices.
The layout of these areas all benefit from an external view of the courtyard garden which has been retained and improved, this will provide privacy and a sense of enclosure to the new annexe.
