Kadoorie Centre - John Radcliffe Hospital
Kadoorie Centre
Sir Michael Kadoorie has a long history of charitable giving to the university medical division. In 2009 the Practice was commissioned to design a new research centre as an extension to the existing Kadoorie Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The innovative design featured a ‘saw tooth’ roof allowing for south-facing, photovoltaics and a new form of alloy rain-screen cladding which would form an attractive counterfoil to the white ceramic tiles of the main building.
