OUH NHS Trust embarked upon a process of opening satellite renal dialysis centres (linked to the main hub at the Oxford Kidney Centre).

The first of these satellites to be completed was a new build unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

The building was constructed using modular, prefabricated construction (leased basis).
