A party from the Robert-Bosch-Foundation, one of the most prominent foundations in the health sector in the Germany visited The Hillingdon Hospital’s Beaconsfield East Ward on Tuesday 5th April.  

Part of their visit is focusing on hospitals that have implemented innovative designs in dementia care.

The agenda for the day included a presentation on the principles of the ward refurbishment design by GBS Health Director Georgia Burt and Chris Knight, Capital Projects Manager from the Estates & Facilities Department at Hillingdon.

A case study on Beaconsfield East Ward is now published in the Department of Health’s, ‘Health Building Note 08-02 - Dementia-friendly Health and Social Care Environments’
